Local MP Jim Murphy has demanded a probe into the way in which a national talent contest for children is being run.

Local MP Jim Murphy and MSP Ken Macintosh have uncovered the total cost of the Tory government’s welfare reforms in East Renfrewshire.

East Renfrewshire's MP took his place on the London marathon starting line with Mo Farah and 36000 other runners from all over the world.

Jim Murphy is organising a celebrity quiz night in Clarkston to raise funds for British soldiers injured in Afghanistan. Scotland football legend Graeme Souness has agreed to call into the event from abroad to ask the football round and the BBC's Nick Robinson will pose the questions on current affairs. Other celebrities also look set to be on the end of the line.
