When I started training to run the London marathon my main worry was getting fit enough to complete the course. After the tragic events in Boston, my fitness worries have been replaced by a determination just to get out there and run.

Jim Murphy is organising a celebrity quiz night in Clarkston to raise funds for British soldiers injured in Afghanistan. The fundraiser is the main event in Jim's fundraising in advance of running the London marathon. Celebrities will act as 'phone-a-friends' on the night by joining the event by telephone. Scotland football legend Graeme Souness has agreed to call into the event from abroad to ask the football round and the BBC's Nick Robinson will pose the questions on current affairs. Other celebrities also look set to be on the end of the line.
