Local MP Jim Murphy has demanded a plan for a wind turbine for Killoch Hill, go back to the drawing board. Mr Murphy has met with local people from Gateside Road to hear their concerns about the proposal.

The First Group has confirmed that they plan to go ahead with cuts to the 44 bus service in East Renfrewshire despite widespread local opposition. Local MP Jim Murphy and MSP Ken Macintosh have been leading a campaign to protect the bus service which faces cuts on the route after Muirend towards Eaglesham and Newton Mearns.

What action do you think the Government should take in the 2013 Budget? On 20th March I will be in the House of Commons to listen to Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget. Quite often Budget Day is seen as the time when the price of cigarettes and alcohol go up but it is always much more than that. This year there is a special significance and some really big decisions to be taken. I want to hear from you and other local people about what you think the Government should be doing in the Budget.
